White wine: Louis Jadot Meursault 2019
Burgundy at its best. This white wine smells of butter, flowers and honey. It is generous on the palate with full white fruit tones, herbs and hazelnut. Its long elegant finish predicts a great aging potential: between 8 and 15 years. A great wine that belongs in every serious wine cellar.
Meursault, together with Blagny, Chassagne and Puligny, is part of the Côte des Blancs: the part of the Côte de Beaune where the most beautiful white wines come from. The vineyards for the Meursault from Maison Louis Jadot are located at an altitude of between 230 and 360 metres above sea level with their sloping side facing east to capture as much sunlight as possible. Here, from the limestone soil mixed with marl, come beautiful Chardonnay grapes that are fermented in wood and then mature for 15 months in oak barrels.
