Dutch wine
The Dutch climate is changing and that has negative consequences, but also a positive one and that is that more and better wine is being produced. The Dutch top producers are Apostelhoeve from Maastricht and the Kleine Schorre from Dreischor Zeeland. We have a few gems from these wineries in our assortment.

Maastricht
De Apostelhoeve
The Dutch wine tradition has its origins in Roman times, after the Middle Ages the Dutch wine tradition made way for other forms of agricultural activity. In 1970 the first vines returned to the southern slopes of the Jekerdal, on the Apostelhoeve. On the Apostelhoeve, one of Limburg's most beautiful spots on top of the Louwberg, the Netherlands' oldest and one of the largest wine estates in the Netherlands is enthroned. The Apostelhoeve wine estate currently consists of 20 hectares, where 5 different grape varieties are planted: Müller-Thurgau, Auxerrois, Riesling, Pinot Gris and since 2020 also Viognier. At the moment these grape varieties produce six beautiful, dry, white wines: the Müller-Thurgau, Auxerrois, Apostelhoeve Cuvée XII, Riesling, Pinot Gris and Pinot Gris Barriques. The Apostelhoeve also produces two beautiful sparkling wines: the Riesling Brut and the Apostelhoeve Cuvée XII Brut.

Dreischor
De Kleine Schorre
De Kleine Schorre started in 2001 and quickly made a name for itself by making top quality wines. And have been part of the assortment of wines in KLM business class for years. Due to the large amount of sunshine in Zeeland and the unique soil of clay and lime, beautiful wines are made here. De Kleine Schorre now has 14 hectares of vineyard.
