A French wine gift with the best from Alsace. Two Riesling Grand Cru wines. The wines are packed in a luxurious wooden box with a sliding lid.

wine 1) Gustave Lorentz Riesling Bio Grand Cru Kanzlerberg 2017

Beautiful golden yellow looking wine with intense aromas of citrus, lemongrass with smoky and stony notes. The taste is fresh, yet expressive with an acidic tension and rich structure. The aftertaste is characterized by a very tasty mineral note and a remarkable intensity of aromas.

In our opinion, this great Riesling comes from one of the best wineries in Alsace. Gustave Lorentz pays attention to the highest quality. The grapes are picked by hand, no yeast is added to this wine to initiate the fermentation process. Everything pure nature.

This enjoyable and concentrated wine goes well with fish dishes and specifically with raw fish, such as sushi.

Origin: France, Alsace. The vineyard for this Grand Cru is located on the south and southwest facing slopes of the Kanzlerberg. The grapes grow on heavy soil, which is unique in this region.

Vinification: The grapes are harvested late and are therefore very concentrated. The high sugar content of the must ensures a harmoniously complex and powerfully structured end result.

Grapes: Riesling (100%)

Alcohol percentage: 13.50%

Rich, complex wine with lots of minerality and intense aromas of citrus, smoke and herbs such as thyme and lemongrass, cedar and a hint of spices.

Origin: France, Alsace. The vineyard for this Grand Cru is located on the south slope of the Altenberg. The soil here consists of clay and lime. The vines are between 30 and 50 years old.

Vinification: The grapes are harvested late and are therefore very concentrated. The high sugar content of the must ensures a harmoniously complex and powerfully structured end result.

Grapes: Riesling (100%)

Alcohol percentage: 13.00%

The vines for this wine are between 30 and 50 years old and the wine is 100% organic. The Gustave Lorentz winery was founded in 1836, but the Lorentz family's wine history dates back to the mid-17th century.

Jean-Georges Lorentz, blacksmith and wine grower, was the first family member to settle in Bergheim in the heart of Alsace in 1748. “One family, one village and seven generations of winegrowers” is today the slogan of the Gustave Lorentz winery. Georges Lorentz has been in charge since 1995 and the eighth generation - his three daughters - is preparing to join the company. Gustave Lorentz owns a total of 33 hectares of vineyards on the hillsides around Bergheim.

Of the 33 hectares, just under half is classified as Grand Cru. Since taking office, Georges has implemented a number of modern insights. In addition to quality, the focus is also on balance, purity, personality and drinkability. Sustainability is of crucial importance to Georges.

Since 2012, all our own vineyards have been certified organic by EcoCert.
