Bonbon Rosé 2023 - Sainte Victoire
A light pink colour with a flavoursome mix of peach, red fruit and a hint of minerality. The rosé is seductive and has a silky finish.
The grapes come from Provence, an area with a continental climate that has mild summers and mild winters. The wine is made with 70% grapes from one of the oldest vineyards in the valley, where the vines have been growing since 1914. After the grapes briefly retain their skins, they are pressed and the juice is fermented in cooled tanks. The wine then rests on the yeast lees for about 6 months.
Grapes: This wine is composed of 50% Cinsault, 30% Syrah and 20% Grenache.
Alcohol: 12.5%
Origin: France, Provence
Content: 0.75L
Tip: Perfect to combine with classics from Provencal cuisine such as salade niçoise, bouillabaisse and pasta pesto.
Winery: Domaine des Diables
Domaine des Diables is owned by Guillaume & Virginie Philip - well known
from MIP. This 30-hectare wine estate is located at the foot of the Sainte
Victoire in the Provencal commune of Puyloubier. The soil around the estate
consists of clay, loam and sand, an ideal composition for the production of
refined, balanced wines. Viginie and Guillaume have been cultivating the vineyards since
the beginning sustainably cultivated. The plots are permanently under the influence of
twelve different winds - including the Mistral. These winds, in combination
with the warm, dry climate, the development of almost all
fungal diseases and the use of pesticides are therefore hardly
necessary. The nature-friendly approach and the use of the most modern
vinification techniques produces wonderfully pure wines. Their rosés in particular are
unprecedentedly popular.
