    • Description

The Louis Jadot Saint-Romain Bourgogne Blanc is a refined white Burgundy from the Saint-Romain appellation in the Côte de Beaune. The vineyards are located high on the limestone slopes beneath the imposing cliffs of Saint-Romain, where the cooler microclimate ensures fresh, elegant Chardonnays with great tension and minerality. This wine combines ripe fruit with subtle oak notes and a creamy structure, making it delightful now, but also capable of developing beautifully for several years.

Pear, peach, citrus, vanilla, and a hint of butter

In the glass, the wine shimmers a bright golden yellow. The nose opens with aromas of ripe pear, juicy peach, and fresh citrus, followed by subtle notes of vanilla, toasted almond, and a hint of butter. The taste is full and round, with a lovely creaminess, fresh acidity, and refined minerality that leads to a long, elegant finish.

Aging in French oak for added complexity

The Chardonnay grapes are hand-harvested and carefully selected. After gentle pressing, the wine ferments in French oak barrels, about a third of which are new. It then ages on its fine lees for approximately fifteen months. This traditional Burgundian winemaking gives the wine extra depth, a creamy structure, and refined oak notes, without overpowering the fresh fruit.

Perfect with seafood, fish, and creamy dishes

This Saint-Romain is an excellent accompaniment to oysters, scallops, lobster, grilled fish, salmon tartare, sushi, ceviche, and creamy fish dishes. Its elegant character also shines beautifully with poultry in a creamy sauce, veal, or soft cheeses.
