In the language of the original inhabitants of New Zealand, the Maori, Hãhã means 'tasty, lush', qualities that are clearly tasted in the wines of Hãhã. A young company that is making a name for itself in the international wine press with their aromatic sauvignon blanc and their fresh, fruity pinot noir from the famous cool climate wine region Marlborough. The unique aroma and taste that sauvignons from Marlborough are famous for, are created because the grapes enjoy a long ripening season here. This gives the grapes all the time they need to develop intense aromas. In addition, the sun shines abundantly, which allows the grapes to ripen well. At the same time, there is cooling from the sea, which prevents them from becoming overripe and retains their fresh acids and aromas. Hãhã obtains grapes from around 20 vineyards, from which wines are made annually from the very best fruit with an exuberant character and that typical New Zealand freshness.
